Selene Wall Light is a new Nix Studio product launching during London Design Week 2026, available in solid brass, or aluminium and walnut. The shifting interaction between light and material gives the Selene a mesmeric property. Viewed front-on, the light radiates a spherical glow that intensifies at the edges, while from the side, the light diffuses into a banded glow.
Designed and developed in-house at Nix Studio, the Selene utilises integrated LEDs and drivers to deliver a compact, considered product. Intended for both residential and commercial environments, the Selene works across spaces from hallways and living rooms to cafés, restaurants and hotel landings. Selene Wall Light is available in: Satin brass, Polished brass, Antique brass, Bronze brass, Satin brass. As well as Aluminium and Walnut. All materials are finished in a durable clear lacquer, unless specified otherwise.
Tom began his career in the workshop, developing a deep understanding of materiality and manufacture before gaining over a decade of experience as a designer. Drawing direct inspiration from the making process, Tom spends time in metal forges, welding shops, and fine woodworking studios to uncover new techniques and processes that evolve into refined, distinctive products.
His work is characterised by honesty, geometric form, and clarity. Based in Walthamstow’s Blackhorse Workshop, Nix Studio Ltd has an on-site studio and workshop for testing, refining, and developing ideas before moving them into production.
